Origin
The Trichocereus pachanoi, also known as the San Pedro cactus, originates from the Andes Mountains in the south of Peru and north of Bolivia. This region is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity. This cactus can even survive at altitudes above 2000 meters.

Characteristics
The Trichocereus pachanoi is a fast-growing cactus that can grow up to 6 meters tall. It has a green colour and features multiple ribs on which areoles are located, areas from which spikes, flowers, or branches grow. The flowers of this cactus are large, white and bloom at night. Moreover, these plants are notable for the fact that they can live on very dry soil in addition to water.

Care
For optimal care of the Trichocereus pachanoi, it is important to place the plant in a location with sufficient light, but without direct sunlight. In addition, the cactus requires a well-draining soil to prevent root rot and needs little water. In the summer, watering once a week is sufficient, while once a month is enough in winter. Furthermore, the plant should be placed indoors during the winter, as it cannot withstand frost.
