British-Australian singer-songwriter Ruel released a new song “LET THE GRASS GROW” on March 11, 2022.
The song follows up “GROWING UP IS _____”, which was released last December.
I was written by Ruel Vincent van Dijk and Pj Harding.
Ruel shared on social media, “when i was writing this song with PJ HARDING we were talking about the things that keep us up at night. we went on to talk about what direction we think the world was heading in, which was a pretty complex concept to fit into a song. this is my take on that feeling, to ME the songs theme is really just to not force nature and let everything natural happen to us. it’s dark, but it’s a real thought i have quite often. i’m really proud of this song because i feel like it shows a different side of me that i haven’t put into my music yet and gives u a lil insight into what i think about at night haha, hope u guys like it :)
On the visualizer for the song, he teamed up with Surfrider Foundation Australia. He said, “I'm VERY excited to announce that i am an offical ambassador for Surfrider Foundation Australia. for the last few months i’ve been learning from the team about the work they do in protecting australia’s coastlines. a few weeks ago i sat down with Damien Cole from the surfrider foundation to talk about the incredible work they do.”- source : Apple Music
