The Compressiceps Cichlid is one of the most impressive cichlids we have in stock. They not only have striking colors grow to 12 inches, but they are also very slim and flat looking which is unusual for a cichlid. It's a fish we recommend for experienced hobbyists because this guy is moderately difficult to keep for, needs substantial swimming space, pristine water conditions and plenty of hiding spaces. Use caution when adding to a community tank because they are known to pick on smaller fish. Make sure its tank mates are of the same size and have similar aggression as this cichlid. Keeping this cichlid in a harem can help reduce its aggression, but be sure the tank is large enough.
