Melissa Leo cast in HBO series 'Treme,' from creator of 'The Wire'

That Oscar buzz hasn't worn off yet for Melissa Leo.

Variety reports the Oscar-nominated Stone Ridge actress has been cast in an upcoming HBO show called "Treme," created by David Simon. The show is about New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina seen through the eyes of jazz musicians. Leo will play a civil rights lawyer.

Simon, who also created "The Wire" and adapted "Generation Kill," previously worked with Leo on "Homicide: Life on the Streets."
