I've been a member here for a while and have known @revhtree before the club zoa days. After meeting him at MACNA, I told him I will try to post more. The updates may come slow but I will try to keep up.

I've had the female from Doni's first batch in sometime in 2009 or maybe 2008 but I don't remember exactly. I recently paired her up with a male that is from a Doni/Onyx pair. The female doesn't constantly lay eggs on schedule. Sometimes it's months before she lays eggs again. This time I was ready and was able to transfer a small batch of eggs (probably about 80 or so). Anyway, here's a video of the mom and dad.

I don't have any photos of the setup but here's what I have:

2 5g buckets to culture rotifers
Rotigreen Omega to feed the rotifers
7g old minibow for the fry (I only use 5g of water in it since this is a small hatch)
50g Aqueon heater (not the pro version) -
petco airstones
whisper air pump for a 20g
Seachem ammonia alert

Here's my feeding schedule:
Day 1-4: Rotifers and try to keep the water tinted green up to day 3.
Day 5: introduce TDO Chromaboost A
Day 6-8: Try to feed TDO A and rotifers. Watch if the fish are darting for the TDO pellets.
Day 8-10: TDO A and introduce TDO B1
Day 11-14: TDO B1

I always try to have fresh saltwater mixed in case I need to perform additional water changes. Monitor ammonia levels using the ammonia alert. Here are my notes for this hatch:
Day 1, I season a sponge filter by placing it in the parent tank.
Day 2: Drip 1/3 gallon of RODI water to lower the salinity slightly to about 1.022
Day 3-7: remove 1gal water and then slowly drip again water change.
Day 8-9: no water change as the babies hit metamorphosis stage.
Day 10: change another 1gal water and then add another 1 gal of saltwater to bump up the tank volume to 6 gal.
Day 11: add the seasoned sponge filter
Day 11-13: regular 1g water change

The fish are at day 14 today and I have about 40 babies left.

Just a quick update...

Have about ~35 babies left and about 10 look like they will be almost white. Almost platinum but the bellies are orange/red.

Sorry for the phone pics. Dropped my dslr lens and broke it. That's a small sponge filter for a 10g and compare its size with the 1/4" airline. This one is about 19 days old. New batch of eggs will probably hatch tomorrow.

Thanks! I bought the male from a local reefer in VA. The parents of the male are doni and an onyx. The fry are about 45 dph and I only have about 30 but I do have some with nice patterns like the ones you posted. I will try to take photos later.

Here are some photos I took yesterday. They are 45 days old here. I have them mixed in with some babies from my Rod's Onyx and C-Quest onyx babies.

Thank you! I may sell a few just to pay for the cost of breeding but eventually, I will probably convert my 180g tank to a clownfish harem/anemone tank.

nice. a harem tank would be rad!!

i just restarted my 120, so im on the hunt for a great pair of clown and I want something super unique and awesome. I gravitate towards picassos, but im a fan of some of the newer "designer" clowns as well. Kinda hoping to make a pair with one picasso, with great markings and a white based clown.

good luck with your babies. and keep it up!

They are developing nicely. Here they are at 60 days old. Sorry for the dirty tank pics. I moved them temporarily to an old 20 long that has some white film stain on the glass.
