Gold striped, Gold nugget Maroon Clowns color up?

Hello, I want to keep the gold striped maroon clowns as I prefer the yellow to the white.

But, on Live Aquaria and elsewhere I see them, the 'nugget' and the 'flake' versions advertised as 'gold' but the photographs are with a white marking instead, does the fish start with white and the yellow grow in over time? All I want to have is a nice pair of the gold bar with a BTA they can nest in.

They all start out white and the gold comes in as they age. For reference, my clown is 2.5” and no gold is coming through yet.
