SCIENTIFIC NAME - Melacanthus ovalaunensis

COMMON NAME - Canary Fang Blenny

SIZE - 4.3" (11 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 20 US Gal. (76 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet, finely chopped crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, vitamin enriched brine shrimp, frozen preparations for herbivores (natural prey small crustaceans).

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Yes

CAPTIVE CARE - Has venomous fangs that will be used if attacked, other fish do not bother it, nor does it bother others in the tank, harassed by damsels and other aggressive fish, if ingested by a predator it will bite the inside of the predators mouth and usually be spit out.

its a awesome fish full of life and personality i had one for 3 years till it jumped out and the cat got it looking now for a fork tail fang blenny
