Info

Allen & Randall, 1996

New imported by Joachim Großkopf. Very rare in Germany. This fish ist found in groups in shallow water in algae or detritus-fields.
Like all Cirrhilabrus very shy in the beginning.
Be carefull! They like jumping!
Male ones set only the first part of their dorsal fin upright!
Males can be identified by a black edge on ther dorsal fin.

Classification: Biota > Animalia (Kingdom) > Chordata (Phylum) > Vertebrata (Subphylum) > Gnathostomata (Superclass) > Pisces (Superclass) > Actinopterygii (Class) > Perciformes (Order) > Labridae (Family) > Cirrhilabrus (Genus) > Cirrhilabrus condei (Species)

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!

Husbandry know-how of owners
