Lives in depth of about 83 m.
Only sometimes to find in Japan or teh USA.

Looks like Cirr. rubrimarginatus. The male one has a blue border on its tail.

Classification: Biota > Animalia (Kingdom) > Chordata (Phylum) > Vertebrata (Subphylum) > Gnathostomata (Superclass) > Pisces (Superclass) > Actinopterygii (Class) > Perciformes (Order) > Labridae (Family) > Cirrhilabrus (Genus) > Cirrhilabrus pylei (Species)

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!

Husbandry know-how of owners

Halte diesen schönen Burschen seit längerem in meinem 1,8 Meter Becken.

S.W.Pacific; 13 cm; rare
Some distinct color morphs on locality; pelvic fins extremely long in males
