Despite various scientific sources there is unfortunately little interesting to report about Sclerophytum grandilobatum.
Size and color information is unfortunately completely missing, only one source gives an indication of the water depth of the species.
The distribution of the soft coral is probably much larger than stated so far.

Hints about a successful keeping and / or a reproduction are also missing so far.

Etymology. The epithet is derived from the Latin words "grandis" and "lobatus", referring to the "large lobe" of the coral.
