Like all soft corals, Sclerophytum asterolobatum tolerates a lot of light. It should be given an alternating, occasionally stronger (pulsating) current, but never one that is directed straight at the coral.

Ich halte dieses Tier jetzt über 8 Monate,sie brauchte 4 Monate bis sie sich an meine Wasserwert gewöhnte.
Bin also blutiger Anfänger in sachen Meerwasser Aquaristik das ich jetzt 2 Jahre betribe.
Anfangs nur mit Fischen und seit 1 Jahr auch einige Korallen .
Dieses Tier ist auch schwer beleidigt wenn man sie aus irgend einem Grund an eine andere stelle tun muss, dann zieht sie sich zusammen und man denk jetzt geht sie ein .
Bei mir hat es eimal 2-4 Tage gedauert bis sie wieder normal war ..ALSO VORSICHT BEIM VERSETZEN !!!
Meine Wasserwert sind manchmal zum Schreien :-(( also

Salinität 1023--1025 ,
Calitum 550 , und mehr
Magnesium 1600 , und mehr
dkH: 7,5–10,0
Nitrat: 2–17 mg/l
Phosphat: 0,00–0,08 mg/l
Temperatur : 23–28 °C
Sommertemperatur : 25--30 °C
Dann wieder Magn ,und Calti zu wenig, dieses Tier hat bis jetzt alles verkraftet :-)) zum Glück :-) .
Ich messe alle 2 Wochen .
Was so toll ist an ihr ,sie leuchte sehr schön bei blauem Licht (( Werde noch ein Foto beifügen )) .
Da Ich jemand bin der seine Fische sehr oft Füttert, wundert es mich doch das sie so schön wächst .
Empfehle dieses Tier jedem Anfänger !!!
Ach ja die Fütterung manchmal [[ Lobstereier ,Aminosäure ,Zooplankton ,Fischfutter , Jod , Vitamine , Sanostol , Phytonplankton direkt ]] .

Ich halte diese Koralle seit meinem Einstieg also mehr als anderthalb Jahre.
Sie ist absolut Genügsam, die Strömung sollte aber durchaus gut sein und gutes Licht bekommen.
Leider neigt sie dazu in ein Braunton umzuschlagen wenn die Werte nicht 100%tig top sind.
Ansonsten ist sie wirklich gut in der Haltung und für Anfänger geeignet.
Man kann Ihr beim Wachsen förmlich zusehen wuchert jedoch keines falls.
