ORBIC BATFISH

Orbic Batfish Update

We finally got around to editing images of the batfish larvae this week to complete the larval development series. Amazing larvae with remarkable similarities to the Atlantic spadefish. We are working to complete a larval series for spadefish and will post this soon for comparison. The juvenile batfish are 23 days old today and developing at a steady and rapid pace. Today, they look like batfish!

Special thanks to Odalis Garcia and George Parsons of the Shedd.
