ProsSimple long lasting easy fix

Spent ages trying to get the preload correct on a 20 year old Marin. Part of the problem was the original seals had hardened and also wear t the cones, but not the hub races. Fitted this part and adjusted in minutes.

Could this be used on a Deore LX rear hub to give greater width to fit a 140mm rear tandem?

Hi, it will not be long enough. You will only have 3mm either side in contact with the frame. Thanks 03/04/2019

Wheel Axle & Cones, Bearing For Shimano Acera Rear Wheel

I'm looking for a replacement axle, cones and bearings for a shimano hub. Currently fitted with AceraX FHM290 (135mm spacing).
I can't see this exact model on your website. Can you recommend an alternative you can supply?

I'm afraid due to the age of your hub the original axle assembly is no longer available and although at one time there was compatible alternatives they too have all been long discontinued now.
