Distribution: from the Red Sea and East Africa to southern Japan, Hawaii, the Society Islands and Lord Howe. Also present along Eastern Pacific coastline, from Baja California to Colombia. Echidna nebulosa is one of the most commonly spotted moray eel throughout the Indo-Pacific.
