I was born and grew up in Milan in the north of Italy. I studied interpretation and translation in Munich and now live in Berlin.

Foreign languages have fascinated and inspired me since childhood. As has teaching languages. After graduating from high school, I moved to Germany and studied translation and conference interpreting at the University of Applied Languages - SDI Munich. For many years now I have worked as a freelance translator and conference interpreter for private and public clients as well as companies. Since finishing my studies I have worked as a German and Italian teacher at universities, in schools and companies, and I also give private tuition.

In 2021 I won an award in the translation’s competition Radial-Initiativstipendium of the Deutscher Übersetzerfond for the translation into Italian of the children’s book “Hase & Mond. Eine Geschichte für Odilia“ by Ruth Johanna Benrath & Lucie Göpfert.

2013 German State Examination for Translators

In addition to private one-to-one tuition, lessons in groups and companies, I have gained teaching experience in translation, interpreting and Italian at bachelor and master courses at the University of Applied Languages of the SDI Munich and German teaching experience at the Berlin Volkshochschule Margaret-Steffin. Now I teach translation Italian-German at the University of Potsdam in bachelor's degree courses.
