Metropolis Building
One of the best known and most photographed in the city, and which is witness to two of the most important arteries of Madrid, Gran Vía and Alcalá Street. Its architecture is French style, and at 45 metres high, it was one of the tallest buildings in Madrid for many years. What will undoubtedly catch your attention is its cupola, a beautiful slate dome with around 30,000 gold leaves, and a figure of the Winged Victory crowning the building. Las Cuatro Torres (The Four Towers)
Right next to Paseo de la Castellana, in the La Paz neighborhood, you will find a business area that forms part of the city skyline, known as Four Towers Business Area. This complex is made up of the Torre de Cristal (Glass Tower), Foster Tower, Torre Emperador Castellana (Castilian Emperor Tower, formerly the Torre Espacio, or Space Tower) and the PwC Tower. A fifth building was opened in 2021: Torre Caleido. These five towers include two of the tallest skyscrapers in Spain. The first, the Glass Tower, standing at over 249 metres and 52 floors, and the Foster Tower, taking second place at 248 metres and 45 floors.

Las Torres Blancas (The White Towers)
Between number 2 Corazón de María Street and 37 Avenida América is one of the greatest icons of organicist architecture in Spain, which was one of the most innovative concrete constructions of its time. The building is designed to be like a tree, which grows up to 80 metres, creating a set of circular shapes that will undoubtedly catch your attention. This building won the first edition of the Official Association of Architects of Madrid, as well as the European Excellence Award.

La Casa de las Flores (The House of Flowers)
You can find this building in the heart of Madrid's Chamberí. It's a great example of rationalist architecture and one of the key pieces for the subsequent opening of the extension of Paseo de la Castellana. Furthermore, the poet Pablo Neruda stayed here, mentioning the Casa de las Flores in some of his well-known poems. This building was declared a National Monument in 1981, and as you can imagine, its name is due to its flower boxes, which are amazing to look at when in bloom.

La Tabacalera
On Embajadores Street in Madrid, at number 51, in the heart of the Lavapiés neighborhood, you will find this old tobacco factory. This building is one of the best examples of 18th century industrial architecture. It is a Property of Cultural Interest and, at the same time, a cultural and art promotion centre, a self-managed space where you will find temporary photography and art exhibitions.
