BMW 1 Series 118i SE
Sitting as the entry-level model, the SE specification is likely to be the most affordable option. Still, as it is a BMW vehicle, the standard list of equipment and features is impressive.
The exterior is treated to 16-inch alloy wheels, LED highlights and LED fog lights. When it comes to the interior, you get a sport steering wheel, and velour floor mats. There is an option to have 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as other optional extras if you would rather.

In this configuration, we chose the 118i petrol engine in manual transmission, but there is a diesel option and automatic DTC transmission available for both options.
BMW 1 Series 116d Sport
Moving up in the chain, the 1 Series Sport offers a focus on sporty styling and features. With a more athletic appearance, this is the perfect model for drivers wanting a bit more style on their journey.
Alloy wheels are slightly bigger at 17 inches, along with upgraded exterior features like exclusive door sills with BMW signature, high-gloss Shadow line exterior trim, sport design front air inlets, and rear bumper in high-gloss. We chose the black Sapphire metallic for the exterior colour to add even more style to this configuration.
With the interior, you will benefit from an illuminated 'Berlin' style interior trim, sports seats with Nivala cloth and Sensatec upholstery and a dashboard with contrast stitching depending on the upholstery selected. And, for the tech-lovers, you get automatic air conditioning and dual zone climate control in addition to the features in the SE trim.
BMW 1 Series 120d M Sport
For this configuration, we opted for the M Sport with 120d diesel engine in sport automatic transmission with gearshift paddles, in Storm Bay exterior colour. The 120d diesel engine can achieve the 0 to 62mph sprint in just 7.3 seconds and return a combined 54.2mpg.
Not only this but with the 18-inch Orbit Grey V-Spoke style alloy wheels, the exterior of this specification is really impressive. These wheels come as part of a package that adds M Sport brakes with blue calipers, M Sport seat belts and spoiler as well as an enhanced surround sound system.
With the M Sport trim you also benefit from heated front seats, electrically folding exterior mirrors, M aerodynamic body styling and M leather steering wheel as standard.
BMW 1 Series 128ti
Coming with the 128ti petrol engine with sport automatic transmission and gearshift paddles as standard, this configuration has a focus on performance and exclusive 'ti' styling.
It has exclusive 18-inch Y-Spoke M light alloy wheels and unique side skirt design to enhance the exterior. We chose the Misano Blue Metallic exterior paint to compliment the high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim.
The interior benefits from a cloth and Sensatec combination in black and red, giving comfort, style, and luxury to both driver and passengers.
This hot-hatch gives great performance thanks to 261bhp and features like the M sport brakes in red high-gloss, and custom M Sport suspension.
BMW 1 Series M135i xDrive
The range-topping M135i offers an impressive 302bhp and 0 to 62mph sprint in just 4.8 seconds. This is thanks to the M135i xDrive petrol engine.
We chose 19-inch bicolour double-spoke style M alloy wheels and Melbourne Red Metallic finish, to add to the already top-tier design. These alloy wheels are part of the M135i Pro Pack that also added sun protection glass and Harman/Kardon Surround Sound Audio System.
Inside the M135i there are M seat belts, seats and steering wheel, front heated seats, additional interior lighting, and velour floor mats, in addition to the black Dakota leather upholstery that we selected as an add-on.
Not to mention, the xDrive element of the M135i makes this model great for off-road driving too. So, all in all, this top-level specification is the perfect option for drivers that want it all. From performance bodystyling and a sporty feel, to plenty of top-drawer technology, there is plenty to enjoy.
