Description

With this Middle School Alternative Energy Debate product students will research and argue the viability of switching to 100% renewable energy sources. They will formulate an argumentative essay using research and then debate their point of view. You will receive a complete teacher guide which will walk you through the research, sources, essay outline and debate format so that your kids can learn science through the controversial and engaging issues that impact the country. This is enough material for multiple days of learning or 1-2 days depending on what you want to utilize

You will receive...

A teacher guide which makes this multiple lesson product super easy

An alternative energy article and various sources which look at multiple sides of the debate

A guide to direct/help students to pick a side of the debate

A "source notes organizer" sheet for students to jot down facts from multiple sources (ones they find on their own or the the ones I provide)

An argumentative essay outline + a modified version

A class debate guide and notes

These articles and materials are a great way for middle school students to organize their opinions and facts on the topic of renewable energy and eventually write an argumentative essay and have a debate.

I use these materials with my middle school science classes but they can be modified easily to suit any grade level.
