Vanessa Amorosi is a musician who was born on August 8, 1981, in Melbourne, Australia.
The daughter of Frank Amorosi and Joyleen Robinson, she became a household name after the release of her 1999 debut single, Have a Look, which reached gold status in Australia.
Since then, she has released two albums, Back to Love (2019) and City of Angels (2022), and countless songs, working alongside the likes of Hoobastank, Dave Stewart, and Jon Stevens, among others.

Vanessa has been in the spotlight for decades, but her mother has often shied away.
Not much is known about Joyleen's personal life, but when her daughter's career began to take off, she was working as a casual cleaner, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Around the same time, she set up two trusts as “the corporate structures through which income from Vanessa’s career was received” Vanessa's lawyer, Philip Solomon said in court in October 2023.
"These were structures set up, Vanessa was told, for her benefit at a time in her career where she was extraordinarily successful and young," Solomon added.

At the time, it seemed like a goodwill gesture, however, Vanessa has since taken her mother to court, suing her for ownership of two properties that are being held in the family trusts.
Joyleen has since denied the claims against her, The Sydney Morning Herald notes.
The properties include one in the Melbourne suburb of Narre Warren and one in California.
Vanessa is looking to have sole ownership of the properties or have the court order them to be sold.
