Angelina Jolie reveals new career path away from Hollywood
SHE is a Hollywood actress, acclaimed movie director and humanitarian campaigner.
And now Angelina Jolie is preparing to branch out into something completely different — by launching a clothing and jewellery brand.
I can reveal the Maleficent star has applied for a global trademark for the business, which she has named Atelier Jolie.
A source said: “Angelina has been working on this project for well over a year and she hopes the trademark will be approved so she can move forward in her new venture.
“The trademark covers everything from custom-made jewellery to couture clothing and tailoring.
“She is a huge advocate for sustainable fashion and this is something the brand will have a major focus on.

“The plan is still very much in its infancy but the wheels are in motion.”
As well as fashion, the brand includes household linen and other services.
While I don’t doubt her plans, Angelina might run into a bit of bother with the name, as I have found a New York artist also uses it for her work.
Angelina spoke about the importance of sustainable fashion in her most recent interview with Vogue magazine, revealing she was trying to get her six children to understand the importance of the subject.

She said: “I invest in quality pieces and then just wear them to death.
“Boots, a favourite coat, a favourite purse, I don’t change things often, you know?
“That’s one of my things. Enjoying your vintage pieces, if you have them, and rediscovering some vintage shops seems like part of the way forward.”
And her wish for the kids to get on board is clearly paying off with her daughters.
At the premiere of her movie Eternals in 2021, Ange and her girls hit the headlines after they wore outfits recycled from her designer wardrobe.
Zahara, her eldest girl, wore a silver Elie Saab gown that the actress had worn herself to the Oscars in 2014.
And younger sister Shiloh chose to wear a dress her mum had worn that summer when she helped out at the Women For Bees entrepreneurship project in France.
Angelina said on the red carpet: “My kids are all mixed with vintage, and in my old Oscars dress.
“We did all vintage and upcycled my old stuff.”
I can think of plenty of fast-fashion-loving stars who could take a leaf out of Ange’s book.
Then again, I doubt Angelina will be trying to tap up the latest Love Island rejects — who thrive on getting deals with cheap clothes sites — to model her new clobber.
FLEW-IS CAPALDI
Lewis Capaldi gave passengers on a flight to Los Angeles a shock when he rocked up as cabin crew.
He boarded the British Airways flight on Tuesday, and in a video shared on Instagram, he could be seen handing out snacks from the trolley before performing his upcoming single.
While passengers looked overjoyed about the special guest, it sounds like Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards is hoping he will be on board next time she takes a plane, too.
She commented: “This and only this would cure my fear of flying.”
I’m sure he’d be willing to join you, Perrie.
Nas has gone off famous
LIL Nas X has ruled out dating other famous people after deleting celebrity love-finding app Raya.
The Montero (Call Me By Your Name) singer said he spent a long time using the matchmaking service then decided he was sick of meeting up with famous people.
He explained during an appearance on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden: “I stopped using Raya . . . It just fell off for me and I just started to meet people in person.
“I’ve met quite a few famous guys. I’ve come to know that I don’t like dating famous people.”
He was last linked to his dancer Yai Ariza in 2021 although they broke up.

One for the Rod at Chris’s
CHRIS Evans is pulling out all the stops for his final Dine & Disco event – by putting on a show by Rod Stewart in his back garden.
It will take place on June 17 and 35 pairs of tickets will be available to fans in an auction which opens at 7am tomorrow.
Lucky attendees will get to stay in a hotel in Marlow, Bucks, close to Chris’s home and have a Michelin-starred barbecue with food cooked by TV chef Tom Kerridge, among others.
The event is being put on for charity and hopefuls can try their luck at getting tickets in the auction at dineanddisco.co.uk.
Virgin Radio breakfast host Chris, who has raised millions for good causes through previous events, will be talking all about it on his show from 6.30am today.
It sounds like the chance of a lifetime – so I better get bidding.
Lionel’s all night no longer
LIONEL Richie’s 1983 hit All Night Long is about a wild evening of passion – but four decades on he can’t go for quite as long.
The soul singer said on US TV: “When I wrote All Night Long it was truly all night long.
“Now my ‘all night long’ is down to a fierce 15 minutes. But don’t worry, we’ll talk about that later.”
Twice-divorced Lionel, who has been with girlfriend Lisa Parigi since 2014, said in the past: “I’m a hopeless romantic.
“She’s extremely beautiful, but most importantly she’s smart and helps me deal with my crazy world.
“At this time in my life, when you can be so jaded about things, Lisa kind of makes everything feel a bit safe.”
YELLO, KATY
COFFEE in hand, Katy Perry had a pep in her step after revealing she has quit booze.
The Dark Horse singer wore this bright yellow jacket, crop top and shades as she arrived at a telly studio in New York.
She told how fiancé Orlando Bloom has stopped drinking and made a deal with her to do the same.
Katy said: “I’ve been sober for five weeks today. I’ve been doing a pact with my partner and I want to quit.”
Asked if she was caving, she added: “No, girl! I can’t cave. I made a promise. Three months.”
Later on in the day, she changed into a pink blazer and heels.

TEN POINTS FOR KYLIE
KYLIE Minogue will make her return to music next week with a thumping pop collaboration.
She has teamed up with Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens for belting track 10 Out Of 10, her first new song in more than a year.
It sounds like she is on to a winner, as it has been co-written with Sarah Hudson, who is behind hits for Dua Lipa and Katy Perry.
The collaboration is not expected to feature on her forthcoming 16th studio album though, which is due out later this year.
A source said: “Oliver is a massive fan of Kylie. Kylie hopes this will be a nice treat for fans as she prepares to come back with her next album, which she will start releasing music from later this summer.
“She has been putting the finishing touches to it recently and it is sounding amazing.”
The song will drop on Wednesday, just in time for the long Easter weekend celebrations.
Kylie, whose last album, Disco, went to No1 in 2020, said this month about the new record: “There’s some 2000s electro, Nineties house and what I like to call emoto-pop.
“I can’t wait to share this with fans and enter the next era of music and live performance.”
It’s been four years since her last tour, so some shows are well overdue, too.
SILVER SCREEN QUEEN
JENNIFER Aniston looked sensational in this silver mini-dress at the premiere of her latest movie, but she admitted shooting it was a pain.
She walked the red carpet for Murder Mystery 2, out on Netflix on Friday, and revealed she suffered an injury when strapped up for a scene.
The actress explained: “I had a back injury about three years ago and it got really p***ed off when I was in the harness. It was literally the last thing I shot.
“It was one of those things where you wake up the next day or two days later and you’re like, ‘Wow, that got bad’.”
But it sounds like nothing compared to her co-star Adam Sandler, who had a hip replacement once filming wrapped.
