It's officially the end of a great celeb love stories.

It's over for Robin Thicke and Paula Patton.

The actress was granted a divorce Tuesday from the Blurred Lines singer in Los Angeles, reports AP. Thicke and Patton were married for nine years and have a son, Julian. 4.

The split goes into effect as of April 14.

Thicke has had a tumultuous last couple of years, from the wild success of his song with Pharrell to the downfall and end of his marriage to Patton, whom he always called the love of his life.

They met as teenagers and Patton was the inspiration behind much of Thicke's music, even appearing in some of his videos. In 2013, he told USA TODAY of his wife, "We're madly, crazily in love."

Then it all fell apart.

Thicke promoted his latest album, Paula, last summer with several appearances that included public pleas for reconciliation. The album did lackluster sales from the start.

Patton told GMA's Robin Roberts earlier this month that it is time to move on.

"I mean, the honest truth is it has been challenging, but it's been a year of growth — lots of healing, learning about all new things. But, I've come out of it stronger, and my son's happy, and I'm very, you know, I feel like everything happens for a reason. And then you have to move on and grow from there."
