The Pop Candy logo by Jeff Smith, acclaimed author/artist of 'Bone'

Zack Smith, guest blogger for Pop Candy
Bone's Jeff Smith gives us his take on the Pop Candy logo

This week at Pop Candy, I got some fan-favorite comic book artists to do guest logos. We've already seen pieces by Jeffrey Brown, Lucy Knisley, Fiona Staples and Andy Runton. What could possibly top a Herculean group of talent like that?

How about…an all-new Bone illustration from Jeff Smith?!

That's right – Jeff, whose fantastic and hilarious adventures of the Bone Cousins have sold millions of copies worldwide, returned to his most famous creations for this all-new Pop Candy logo!

If you haven't read Bone, you've missed out – it's the tale of three adorable creatures called Bones who find their way into a mysterious valley, and become involved with an adventure that becomes huge in scope – comics' answer to The Lord of the Rings.

This illustration features the three Bone Cousins: Fone Bone, Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone . But who's this? Why, it looks like there's a new addition to the Bone Family: WHITNEY BONE!

Take a moment to applaud Jeff Smith's awesomeness here.

You can get all the Jeff stuff you want in his online shop, ranging from Scholastic's color Bone reprints to Bone plushes, action figures and the super-hardcore 20th Anniversary Collector's set – and if you're a little older, check out his recently-concluded SF series RASL, a dimension-hopping story that's moody, dark and brilliant!

Oh, and Whitney? If you're reading this, make sure you check your mail next week. You might find a little something from Jeff in there…
