Brothers! You can’t live with them, you can’t live without them, unless of course you’re an only child or have sisters instead, in which case how would you know what you’re missing, hm? Anyway, siblings can be challenging. And can you imagine the extra degree of difficulty if that sibling was also your ex-husband? Wait. Let me explain.
Miranda Kerr, Victoria’s Secret model turned beauty guru as is their wont in life, spoke of her first husband, hot elf Orlando Bloom, and the mother of his second child, songstress Katy Perry, on the Moments With Candace Parker podcast. (The pair were married from 2010 to 2013 and share 10-year-old son Flynn. Kerr later married Snapchat cofounder Evan Spiegel.) They have a bit of a modern-family relationship. Everybody is extremely cool. Kerr is cool and Perry is cool, and Bloom is, if not cool, then at least not actively terrible, per Kerr.
“We go on holidays together. We celebrate all the important milestones together,” she said of Perry. “I love her. I mean, it’d be safe to say that I love her more than Flynn’s dad.” She added of Bloom, “He’s, like, to me right now, a brother. And most of the time, an annoying brother.” And she and Perry tag team the responsibility. Perry “helps me deal with him.”
Listen, we’ve all seen Bloom’s proclivity for nudity. There was the infamous paddleboarding incident, and more recently a bare-bottom thing. Not a bad thing! It just speaks to a kind of impish delight about the world that is probably intoxicating at first, and then very annoying after the divorce papers are signed.
