Participle of German verb gürten

The participles of gürten (gird, girdle) are: gürtend, gegürtet. For participle I, the ending -end (suffix) is added to the base gürt (verb stem). To form the past participle, the regular ending -et (suffix) is added to the base gürt. The extension is extended by a -e because the stem ends on -t.
