After taking a six-year hiatus to focus on their solo projects, the Jonas Brothers—Kevin, Joe, and Nick—have announced that they’re officially making music together again. Today, the group teased their new single, “Sucker,” which will drop at midnight. In a new promo shot for the tune, the three siblings are seen sporting drastically new looks to boot. On the left, Joe wears a matching green and blue two-piece, printed all over with graphic roses. In the center, Nick wears a streamlined, color-blocked polo top that’s tucked into his pale pink trousers. But it’s Kevin’s look on the right that is the most worthy of discussion.

Kevin wears a psychedelic, squiggle-print top from Dries Van Noten’s Spring 2019 menswear collection, clashed against printed trousers in pink and orange. The multicolor top has been a breakout hit this season: it was first spotted on Beyoncé earlier this month. Kevin’s foray into that groovy, ’70s-inspired aesthetic brings up a bigger question for consideration: has he been the slept-on Jonas brother all along?

Recently, all eyes have been on Nick and wife Priyanka Chopra’s enduring couples style. And Joe has been the center of attention while churning out anthems with his new group, DNCE. But perhaps Kevin has been secretly crafting a new fashion-forward look in his downtime—one that reminds us all that he’s always had his own vibe going on, we just might not have noticed it.

A quick peek at his Instagram shows that Kevin has favored more understated looks in the past, often wearing a classic jeans-and-a-tee combo. On the red carpet, he’s kept it sharp in simple suits -- not eye-popping moments, but cultivated, nonetheless. Maybe 2019 is the year of a new Kevin, though: a new year, new man, and bold new wardrobe. And one with fresh-off-the-runway Dries at that.
