Though some jobs require an associate degree or certification in education or a related field, most Teacher’s Aide jobs just require a high school diploma or GED and provide on-the-job training. Regardless of your education path, you must learn the basics of education to gain the skills and qualifications you need to complete your responsibilities in this career. You must be familiar with school and state protocols for students, basic best practices for education, and how to operate office equipment. You may be required to participate in ongoing training and continuing education courses and obtain basic first aid and CPR training to comply with job requirements. Some states have licensing requirements that must be met.
