Collections can happen anytime up until 5:30pm. If your pickup has been missed please contact our customer service team *Contact Us* the follow morning and we can re-book in the collection with our driver.

Please note minimum volume is 10 parcels for daily pick-up.  If you don't have the min of 10 parcels, we will arrange for pick up when you have a minimum of 10 parcels.

ABSend Standard Parcel Terms and Conditions

1. Based on actual weight;

2. Subject to Max Length or Height 1m and Max Cube 0.16m3;

3. Single piece item, no more than 20kg;

4. It is your responsibility to ensure that all freights despatched are correctly weighed and measured and that this information is accurately declared to ABSend. Freight that is audited and found to be under-declared will incur a Manual Measurement Fee of $6 ex GST. And the additional weight will be charged at the applicable charge;

5. The sender can only initiate operations such as applications for return and address modification when the package is in the warehouse. Once the package is out of the warehouse, it cannot be operated. A $6ex GST handling fee will incur;

6. The package returned due to delivery failure will be kept in the warehouse for 7 natural days. After 7 natural days, if the sender does not perform any operation, the package will be returned to the sender. The return fee is $11ex GST per parcel;

7. Or re-delivery of consignments where a delivery has been attempted and cannot be complete due to the receiver being unavailable, incorrect / insufficient consignment details or refusal by the receiver. The re-delivery fee will be $6 ex GST per parcel;

ABSend Bulk Service Terms and Conditions

1. Extra charges - All rates quoted are exclusive of any extraordinary charges. e.g fuel surcharge, insurance or any other charges and GST

2. Pick up - Please contact us for picking up. The pickup must be booked 24 working hours in advance. If you need to cancel, please contact ABSend customer service, otherwise the charge will incur the corresponding fee as soon as the driver is out for pick-up.

3. Packing - It is your responsibility to ensure that all freight despatched is properly packed.  Inappropriate packing (e.g. loose strapping or tape which can be caught in) will cause extra labour to reinforce or repack the package. A manual handling fee will incur.

4. Measurement - It is your responsibility to ensure that all freight despatched is correctly weighed and measured and that this information is accurately declared to ABSend. Freight that is audited and found to be under-declared will incur a Manual Measurement fee. And the additional weight will be charged at the applicable charge.

5. Consignment label - A standard EDI label with a barcode will be attached to the consignment to process in our system. If the label is written by hand, lost or blurred, a manual consignment fee will incur.

6. Additional operation - The sender can only initiate operations such as applications for return and address modification when the package is in the warehouse. A handling fee will iccur. Once the package is out of the warehouse, it cannot be operated.

7. Redelivery - Where a delivery has been attempted and cannot be completed due to the receiver being unavailable, incorrect or insufficient consignment details or refusal by the receiver, the consignment will be re-delivered  by or with the consent of the sender. A re-delivery fee will incur and the freight charge of such delivery will be recalculated rather than applying to the redelivery charge . Delivery to a completely different address after the failed attempt will not be considered as a redelivery service,

8. Return to sender - The package returned due to delivery failure will be kept in the warehouse for 7 natural days. After 7 days, if the sender does not perform any operation, the package will be returned to the sender. A return fee will incur

9. Fuel levy - Fuel levy surcharge applies to freight charge, futile pickup surcharge, redelivery surcharge and RTS surcharge. Fuel levy surcharge is subject to adjustment monthly.

ABSend can only accept items that are professionally packed within a box ready for the driver. The item must be cushioned, protected with suitable outer packaging and the corners protected. If the item is not correctly packaged the driver may refuse to collect and if the contents are not protected adequately any claim will be invalidated if damage occurs in transit. Please declare the true value of the goods. The value of any goods sent must be able to be proven in the shape of a purchase receipt in the event of a claim. For this reason personal effects should not be sent and can attract a higher customs charge. Please note - As it is difficult to prove the value of Personal effects they are listed under our Restricted items. Labels will be generated by our portal which can direct print to a local label printer connected to your computer, extra settings not required.

Once the booking is complete, you will receive a barcoded label which needs to be attached to the parcel. The driver will scan this label upon collection and this is how you can track its progress online.

Authority to Leave (ATL) is permission provided by the sender to deliver a package in a safe location without obtaining a signature. 

 The benefit of a package that has had ATL enabled can be:

  • Your package will almost always be delivered on first attempt
  • Contactless deliveries keep drivers and receivers safe
  • You won’t need to arrange a redelivery or find your package at a collection point

The driver will look for a safe place to leave the package when there is no one home at the address to provide a signature.

If no place is deemed safe, the driver will take the package to their nearest depot/collection point. 

Parcel Standard Service Surcharge

Pickup $10/Ocassion - If the number of packages received at one time is greater than 10, pick-up fee will be waived.

Futile pickup $15/Oaccasion - Where a pickup is booked, but the consignment is no available at the location or time, a futile pick-up charge is applied.

Waiting charge $40/Hour - For waiting time at either the pickup or delivery, $40 per hour, in increments of 15 minutes, after the first 15 minutes, is charged.

Re-delivery 85%/Of the original freightrate per consignment - For re-delivery of consignments where a delivery has been attempted and could not be completed.

Return To Sender $12/Consignment - For returning the item to the sender due to unsuccessful delivery or by the consent of the sender.

Manual Handling $10/Item - For handling packages with inappropriate packing (e.g. loose strapping or tape which can be caught in).

Manual Consignment $10/Consignment - If the label is written by hand , lost or blurred, a standard EDI label with barcode will be regenerated to process in our system.

Manual Measurement $5/Item - Freight that is audited and found to be under declared will incur a Manual Measurement fee.

Extra Weight Charge Based on the original rate - If actual weight of the consignment is more than the declared weight, the additional weight will be charged at the applicable kilogram charge.


Bulk Service Surcharge

Pickup $10/Ocassion - Pickups for single consginment despatch will incur a pickup fee.

Futile pickup $15/Ocassion - where a pickup is booked, but the consignment is no available at the location or time, a futile pick-up charge is applied.

Waiting charge $40/Hour - For waiting time at either the pickup or delivery, $40 per hour, in increments of 15 minutes, after the first 15 minutes, is charged.

Re-delivery - For re-delivery of consignments where a delivery has been attempted and could not be completed. Tailgate, over length and manual handling surcharge may apply if applicable.

Tailgate $50/Item - When a consignment involves pallets or other heavy consignments of which the dead weight is higher than 50kg or cubic size is higher than 0.4m3.

Over length $5/Item - For handling items with length from 1.5m to 2m.

Manual Handling $10/Item - For handling items with dead weight exceeding 35kg; Inappropriate packing (e.g. loose strapping or tape which can be caught in), Unstable freight.

Manual Consignment $10/Consignment - If the label is written by hand , lost or blurred, a standard EDI label with barcode will be regenerated to process in our system.

Manual Measurement $5/Item - Freight that is audited and found to be under declared will incur a Manual Measurement fee.

Re-palletise $35/Pallet - To recover the cost of labour required to repack or repalletise freight, charged per repack.

Extra Weight Based on the originalrate - Charge the original rate If actual weight of the consignment is more than the declared weight, the additional weight will be charged at the applicable kilogram charge.
