Please be advised that effective 1/1/2024, Flovent HFA and Flovent Diskus, manufactured by Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), have been discontinued. As part of this process, GSK is making an “authorized generic” which is the exact same medicine with the same dosing but without the branding. Fluticasone propionate inhalation aerosol is the name of the authorized generic version of Flovent HFA (inhaler). Fluticasone propionate inhalation powder is the name of the authorized generic version of Flovent Diskus. Patients should check with their insurance company to determine if the replacements are covered under their plan. A list of other alternatives to Flovent that patients may inquire about include:
