  • Choose from coach and business class seating.
  • The scenery is beautiful in the fall and winter in Vermont, but you’ll need to be traveling on a southbound train to view it in daylight.
  • If you’re traveling to Vermont, Brattleboro is one of the few stops that has lodging, restaurants and shops that are in walking distance of the station (check out Airbnb or the Latchis Hotel). Plus, you can rent a car at Enterprise (they can pick you up with a reservation, which will likely be on the day after you arrive). With a car, you can drive to Mount Snow for skiing and visit area attractions.
  • The Waterbury-Stowe Amtrak station is near the Waterbury Historic District (you can walk to the downtown area, Airbnb lodging and the Old Stagecoach Inn). Green Valley Taxi can help you get around, including to the nearby Ben & Jerry’s factory tour.
