Engobe is the name given to a ceramic coloring technique. The final aspect send us back to the origins of the raw material – the clay.
In this way, some characteristics of the clay remain notable to the touch, which allows us to experience a more earthy feeling, of balance with nature, when we take a piece home.

The engobe effect is achieved by using the raw material, pigment and some magic powders.
With know-how and a lot of dedication, we manage to produce pieces that remain true to their origin. A tribute to what the Earth produces – clay – and which the artisan’s art refines.
The colors of the engobes are incredibly flexible, sometimes reaching accentuated textures and unexpected aspects.

It is possible to benefit from the honest aspect of the engobe and add value and greater functionality with the glaze, either on the outside of the piece, on the inside, or in layers.
The glazing of the piece gives it a new characteristic: impermeability. Earthenware is a porous clay that easily absorbs liquid in contact with water. We eliminate porosity, when glazing, making it more versatile.
