Consciousness is Immeasurable, by Ajahn Sumedho

Ajahn Sumedho at BPG Summer School.Film: Consciousness is Immeasurable: From the teachings of Ajahn Sumedho from a series of talks given in 2017 at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery.

Ajahn Sumedho puts the question: ‘Is consciousness the deathless?’ and he goes on to observe that consciousness is immeasurable and indescribable, and yet does not come and go: ‘It is,’ he says, ‘here and now.’ He encourages us to see clearly that all thoughts arise and cease, and to realise that we cannot, therefore, trust them as a means of enlightenment.

Ajahn Sumedho, as always, goes directly to the central point of the Buddha’s teaching. The film runs for approximately one hour.

  1. I am so glad to have found my teacher. That I don’t have to leave my home to benefit from his wisdom is the icing on the cake. Thank you Sumedho
