Deutsch: Braunschweig: der ehemalige Kugelfang eines militärischen Schießstandes in der Buchhorst. Im Vordergrund: zwei Beton-Kugelfänge aus den 1930er Jahren. Im Hintergrund: eine Reihe gemauerter Kugelfänge aus der Zeit vor 1900. Die Anlage umfaßt insgesamt 11 Öffnungen mit einer Breite von jeweils 10 m und einer Höhe von 5 m. Ursprünglich waren die Öffnungen zur Verhinderung von Querschlägern mit Holz und Teerpappe verkleidet. In der NS-Zeit fanden hier Erschießungen von Deserteuren, Widerstandskämpfern und Kriegsgefangenen statt. |
