For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB 16.6.76-Berlin: Grenzprovokation-In diesem Grenzabschnitt bei Kella, Kreis Heiligenstadt, drangen am 15.6.76 zwei bewaffnete Angehörige des Bundesgrenzschutzes der BRD in provokatorischer Weise in das Territorium der DDR ein. Die schwerwiegende Grenzverletzung erfolgte, obwohl der Verlauf der Staatsgrenze durch beide Staaten im Ergebnis der Arbeit der Grenzkommission mit Grenzzeichen eindeutig markiert und dokumentiert wurde.
