Description
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschütztes Kriegerdenkmal in Hagen-Vorhalle, Europaplatz. Das Denkmal wurde von dem Bildhauer Hans Dammann, mit Spenden der Vorhaller Bevölkerung, 1925/26 in klassizistischer Form zum Gedenken an die im Ersten Weltkrieg gefallenen Soldaten aus Vorhalle errichtet. Ringförmige Anlage, Stirnpfeiler mit steinernen Pferdeschädeln; im Mittelpunkt befindet sich eine Stele mit Helmnachbildung und Gedenkinschrift, nachträglich auch für die Gefallenen des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Ebenso befinden sich Gedenkinschriften an dem von acht Säulen getragenen Dachring. Die äußere Ringinschrift lautet: „VORHALLES HELDENSÖHNEN GEWEIHT“.
