| Description |
Bahasa Indonesia: Lambang Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta pertama kali digunakan pada tahun 1981, setelah peresmian institusi. Berdasarkan Statuta UMS, terdapat tiga komponen utama yang menjadi logo UMS yakni, segi lima berbingkai berbentuk kelopak bunga, di dalamnya terdapat nama lembaga Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, gambar padi dan kapas serta simbol Muhammadiyah, dengan warna dasar biru tua.
Logo Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta memiliki makna: Segi lima: membentuk insan akademisi/profesional yang berjiwa Islam, berguna bagi masyarakat, bangsa dan negara Tulisan Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, sebagai identitas institusi Gambar padi dan gambar kapas, melambangkan bahwa Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta memberikan manfaat bagi kesejahteraan bangsa dan negara Gambar padi berjumlah 19 butir, sedangkan kapas 12 kuncup, melambangkan tahun lahirnya Muhammadiyah yakni pada tanggal 18 November 1912Lambang Muhammadiyah mempunyai makna bahwa UMS mengemban visi dan misi Persyarikatan Muhammadiyah. |
