In March 2020, a review paper of the journal Angewandte Chemie International Edition looked beyond the traditional mechanical recycling methods. In the article “Beyond Mechanical Recycling: Giving New Life to Plastic Waste” (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2020, 59, 15402 – 15423) from Netherlands scientists around Prof. Bert M. Weckhuysen, the saperatec technology was mentioned as one piece of recycling technology to solve the global waste challenge. Please find further information about the review article on: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/anie.201915651 The technology development of saperatec has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 830508 (“FlexPack2Circle”).
