Time for India! The past two weeks have been a whirlwind for Laxmi Remer, Silke Bochow, and Younes M., who attended the FPP student fairs in Mumbai and Pune. Alongside YES Germany Dubai, they engaged with numerous ambitious high school graduates and promising applicants for our Master Programmes in Delhi and Mumbai. During a visit to our partner university Chitkara University in Chandigarh, Silke even had the honour of planting a tree for Global Earth Day. A heartfelt thanks to all our partners in India – it's a pleasure to provide students with these enriching international opportunities. Did you know that CBS has over 160 partner universities worldwide? Students can for example spend their semester abroad in India at @ Chitkara University! Exploring India during a semester abroad offers a unique chance to immerse oneself in a vibrant culture, gain global perspectives, and enhance cross-cultural communication skills. We eagerly anticipate welcoming students from India to our campus in Cologne very soon! 🌏🌱 #cbsinternationalbusinessschool #InternationalStudents #creatingtomorrow #GlobalEducation #InternationalOpportunities #StudyAbroad

🌟 HR network meeting @ campus Solingen 🌟 The CBS Human Resources Network Meeting (“Netzwerktreffen Personal”) took place for the second time at the Solingen campus, where around 15 corporate partners of CBS came together to discuss important topics relating to the dual study programmes and the training of junior managers. After lunch, Prof. Michael Schwertel delivered an exciting presentation on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and its role in personnel development. This was followed by a moderated discussion between the companies that employ dual students. Christoph Wiechert, Key Account Manager at CBS, led this informative dialogue in which partner companies shared their experiences and best practices in the field of dual study programmes. He also invited ROCKID e.V. to present their local initiative. The aim of Rockid.one e. V. e.V. is to prepare the next generation for the challenges of the future in the best possible way, to develop their own creative ideas in a playful way and to support schools and families in the digital transformation. They are back...... the CBS Founders Factory. Many thanks to our 6 energetic students who brought this initiative to life after a long break. In the form of a small start-up talk, Stefanie Pies interviewed our CBS alumna Jessica Krings about her own experiences in the start-up scene. They talked about the challenges and successes she has experienced along the way. She encouraged the students to be brave and realize their ideas and emphasized the importance of support and collaboration in the start-up scene. Thanks to the Founders Factory's commitment and inspiring talks like these, we are confident that our students will be the next generations of successful founders. If you would like to be part of this initiative, please connect with the Founders Factory CBS on Linkedin. #foundersfactory #cbs #creatingtomorrow #entrepreuners Gateway Gründungsnetz e.V.

Reflecting on the dynamics of power is crucial in today's world. Last week, our Business Psychology students delved into this topic in an engaging workshop led by Lisa Steinfatt, Merle Runge, Jonas Blecher. They explored communication strategies for navigating power dynamics within teams and discussed the ethical use of power. The aim was to shift perspectives—seeing power not as inherently negative, but as a natural facet of human relations. The interactive exercises showed the participants how to use their own power in a positive and constructive way to achieve their goals and support others. Stefan Schwarz, Professor of Business Psychology, initiated this session to sensitise students to the topic of power: “As a university of applied sciences for management, we train the managers of tomorrow - social and emotional skills are therefore an important part of the curriculum. Raising awareness of how to deal with power is a particularly important topic. It was great that we were able to reflect on the dynamics of power in this unusual workshop format. Many thanks to the trainer Lisa Steinfatt!” #cbsinternationalbusinessschool #creatingtomorrow #BusinessPsychology #LeadershipDevelopment #PowerDynamics #EthicalLeadership
