about

There will be ecstasy.

There Will Be XTC by Traumprinz was a track I happened to come across while I was in a store in Prague. The track perfectly summarises my time in the city, being among friends, interacting with strangers and strange surroundings, finding myself gliding through an ocean of euphoria and dysphoria.

This track is an attempt to capture the constant shift in emotions, alien mental and physical surroundings, and the ephemeral infinite adrenaline rush I found myself in. I hope to evoke the essence of what this trip was and meant to me; its unpredictable, serene, and arcane nature induced with moments teeming with life and excitement.

And there was ecstasy.

.

About the artwork:

It takes inspiration from ecstasy stamps, a nod to the surreal and adrenaline filled adventurous trip; postage stamps indicating the location; a receipt featuring things and moments that made the trip special and memorable for me, my friends, the club we went to, a stolen signboard, polaroids and my film reels; all of it packed in a ziplock seen at airports during security.
