Der analytische Prozess zwischen Öffnung zum Formlosen und Suche nach Sinn

Dem Autor zufolge steht die Öffnung auf das hin, was er in Anlehnung an Winnicott als das Formlose bezeichnet, im Zentrum der Tätigkeit des Analytikers und bildet eine Voraussetzung des Deutens. Er erläutert, wie dieser »Anti-Begriff«, das Formlose, zeitgleich mit der Entdeckung bei Winnicott aus seiner klinischen Arbeit erwachsen ist. Im Anschluss legt er bestimmte klinische Aspekte dar. Das Formlose beinhaltet für ihn eine wesentliche körperliche Dimension, die auf körperliche Quellen des Triebs wie des Ich verweist. Ausgehend von einem klinischen Beispiel hebt er die Bedeutung seines Standpunkts im Hinblick auf die Konstruktion des Sinns in der Behandlung hervor. Auch wenn das Formlose uns niemals zugänglich ist, geht die Bereitschaft, ihm gegenüber offen zu sein, einher mit einer Position tiefgehender Rezeptivität auf Seiten des Analytikers, die einen binokulären Blick sowohl auf den Patienten als auch auf das Innenleben des Analytikers beinhaltet. Diese Position erscheint zwingend notwendig, damit die Geschichte des Subjekts und ihre Aktualisierung in der Übertragung Sinn gewinnen.

Opening to the Unformed and the Quest for Meaning in the Analytic Process.
The author contends that opening up to what Winnicott refers to as the »formless« is crucial for analytic activity and represents a precondition for interpretation. After a brief outline of the development of the concept of interpretation in Freud, he demonstrates how in his late work the limitations of the concept prompted him to replace it with the term »construction.« The author traces the way in which this »anti-concept« grew out of his clinical work at the same time as he discovered it in Win­nicott’s work. Subsequently he enlarges on a number of clinical aspects and compares and contrasts his standpoint with Bion’s theory (Vertex 0), differing from Bion in that for him the formless encompasses an essential bodily dimension pointing to bodily sources for both the drive and the ego. With reference to a clinical example, he emphasizes the significance of his standpoint with regard to the construction of meaning in treatment. Though the formless is never accessible, readiness to open up to it is concomitant with an attitude of profound receptivity on the part of the analyst, facilitating a »binocular« take on both the patient and the inner life of the analyst. This attitude is absolutely essential if the (hi)story of the subject and its actualization in transference are to reveal their meaning.

Le processus analytique entre ouverture sur l’informe et quête de sens.
L’auteur défend le point de vue que l’ouverture sur ce qu’il nomme à la suite de Winnicott l’informe (« formlessness ») est au cœur de l’activité de l’analyste et constitue un préalable au travail d’interprétation. Il retrace brièvement l’évolution de la notion d’interprétation chez Freud et comment ses limites le conduisent à développer dans ses derniers travaux celle de construction. Il montre comment cette « anti-notion » qu’est l’informe est en quelque sorte venue à lui à partir de son travail clinique en même temps qu’il la découvrait chez Winnicott. Il développe ensuite certains aspects théoriques et confronte son point de vue à la théorie bionienne (le vertex 0). Il s’en démarque dans la mesure où, pour lui, l’informe comporte une dimension corporelle essentielle renvoyant aux sources corporelles de la pulsion comme du moi. Il donne un exemple clinique à partir de sa pratique actuelle avant d’insister sur l’importance que son point de vue revêt quant à la construction du sens dans la cure. Alors même que l’informe nous est à jamais inaccessible, y être ouvert va de pair avec une position de réceptivité profonde de la part de l’analyste impliquant un regard binoculaire, à la fois vers son patient et vers sa propre intériorité. Cette position paraît indispensable pour que prenne sens l’histoire du sujet et son actualisation transférentielle.
