It’s a big day for Patrick Dempsey – and he has his beautiful family by his side to support him.

The actor, 50, arrived at Monday’s Bridget Jones’s Baby world premiere in London with his wife Jillian and their three kids: daughter Tallula, 14, and twin sons Darby and Sullivan, 9.

The evening marked the couple’s first red carpet event since calling off their divorce earlier this year.

The former Grey’s Anatomy star’s wife Jillian filed for divorce from Dempsey in January 2015 after 15 years of marriage, but by the end of the year, the two began appearing in public together again as they worked on their relationship. In January of this year a source told PEOPLE the two had called off their divorce plans. In May, Dempsey confirmed the two had reconciled.

“You have to work at everything,” he told ES Magazine. “And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.”

Also in attendance was Renée Zellweger, the franchise’s leading lady, wearing a navy blue off-the-shoulder dress with a center slit.

In a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming film exclusively revealed by PEOPLE, Dempsey and Colin Firth dish on the much-anticipated third installment – and how they battle it out for the beloved Brit when she finds herself pregnant and unsure of who the father is.

“It’s very hard for her,” says Dempsey in the clip. “And that’s where the conflict is and the humor is and that’s where the heart of the piece is.”
