Im Bezug auf "einem Ort/Ziel näherkommen" gibt es eigentlich keinen Unterschied, obwohl "nähern" oftmlas das bevorzugte Verb ist.
Wenn es jedoch darum geht, dass sich Meinungen oder Standpunkte aufeinander zu bewegen oder sich etwas in Richtung eines Idealtypus oder seines Idealzustandes verändert, benutzt man "annähern".
