woodgrain / Knoten & Fasern

I truly love the texture and colour of the many types of wood surrounding our house, so it seemed fitting to design a set of items with woodgrain! This yarn has a deep, woolly feel and features slight variations of colour within the rich rust and golden browns, so in this case wood = wool.

This design combines two patterns which together appear like meandering lines within the grain, interrupted by circular “knots”. The fabric drapes beautifully and holds it’s shape very well, and if you like to choose your own DK yarn I would suggest to pick a yarn with a good, sturdy woollen structure with a slight stretch. The items like to fold at the changes in the patterns, which makes them appear truly “tree trunk-like”.

This design is knitted in 2-colour Brioche but looks equally beautiful with one or two solid colours, or a combination of both. The pattern pack includes both English and German instructions.

No edging. Due to the design the edges appear a slight zig-zag.
