Jacqueline Sarkissian

Jacqueline Sarkissian couldn’t be more excited to be back home working for KTLA as a general assignment reporter. It’s at this very station where her career in broadcast journalism started 10 years ago.

Jacqueline was born and raised in Diamond Bar. She went to Rosary High School in Fullerton (Go Royals!) and graduated with honors from USC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism. While at SC, Jacqueline was co-captain of the world-famous Song Girls. FIGHT ON!!!!

Jacqueline first started at KTLA as an intern before accepting a position on the assignment desk. In 2015, she made the move to the small town of Tyler, Texas to report and anchor for the city’s CBS affiliate, KYTX. She was a “one-man-band” journalist where she shot, edited, and wrote her own stories in addition to being in front of the camera.

From there she moved to Austin, which was tough at first living in Longhorn Country since she’s a proud Trojan and still slightly bitter over the 2005 National Championship loss to Texas. Jacqueline was the morning reporter for FOX 7 Austin’s morning show “Good Day Austin.” While in the Capitol City, she reported on many national stories, including the deadly bombings that terrorized the city for nearly three weeks in March 2018, the church shooting in Sutherland Springs that killed 26 people, and the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

Her last stop before coming back to KTLA was the station’s sister station KSWB in San Diego. She was waking up America’s Finest City dark and early starting at 4:30 am as the station’s morning news reporter.

Jacqueline is ecstatic to return home and tell the stories that impact the community she grew up in. She is especially proud to serve as a voice for the Armenian community. You can contact her via email at Jacqueline.Sarkissian@KTLA.com or on Instagram and JSarkissan

She lives in Orange County with her husband and baby boy, Mikey.

P.S. If you ever run into her and want to say hi, don’t ever call her Jackie!!!!
