Fewture Models has once again turned a Super Robot design that I wasn’t fond of into solid gold with their release of Grendizer under their EX Gokin line! Featuring a more modern and streamlined aesthetic as well as their standard of high diecast content, this one really shines.
I love that this one also continues what the Getter G robots did in terms of improving upon their engineering. featuring a flip-up chest piece to show the core, as well as things like double-jointed elbows and knees and a new LOCKING mechanic for attaching his Spazer to his back, it really does make me want a re-release of the Mazinger 1969 EX Gokin line just like the Getter G EX Gokins made me want re releases of the previous Getters. It’s definitely a good thing that a toy would make you rebuy toys you actually really enjoyed because of just how refined it is.
Thank you Fewture Models for once again gracing the diecast community with an amazing interpretation of a classic Super Robot.
