Zusammenfassung
Gleitkontakte haben die Aufgabe, sowohl elektrische Signale als auch elektrische Energie zwischen Partnern zu übertragen, die sich relativ zu einander bewegen. Im Betriebsfall treten Reiberscheinungen auf, die je nach Werkstoff der Kontaktpartner zu verschiedenen Verschleißarten, wie adhäsiver, abrasiver oder Ermüdungsverschleiß, führen. Bei Zinnbeschichtungen, z.B. auf Steckverbinderkontakten kann vor allem die Reiboxidation ( „fretting korrosion“) einen erhöhten Verschleiß oder gar vorzeitigen Ausfall verursachen. Zu einer Verschleißverminderung können dabei spezielle Schmiermittel beitragen, die den Reibwert des Schichtsystems verringern. Bei der Übertragung elektrischer Energie kommen Bürsten und Schleifstücke aus Kohle und Grafit zum Einsatz. Der dabei im Betriebsfall auftretende Verschleiß setzt sich aus einem mechanischen und einen elektrischen Anteil zusammen, Die bei beiden Anwendungen auftretenden Phänomene werden beschrieben und Hinweise zur Optimierung des Gleitkontaktsystems gegeben.
