Zusammenfassung
Die Annahme, daß der endogenen Tagesrhythmik ein Wechselspiel chemischer Vorgänge zugrunde liege, gab den ersten Anstoß zur Prüfung des Temperatureinflusses auf die Periodenlänge. Zu vermuten war eine Abkürzung der Perioden bei hoher, eine Verlängerung bei niedriger Temperatur.
