We are a Lebanese family that takes great pride in serving authentic meals straight out of Grandma's kitchen. The century old craft of preparing Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine is our focus. We make sure to use only ingredients of the highest quality to bring to fruition the art of making healthy and delicious fare. Come and partake in the culinary experience of the Meza. As one would find across the Mediterranean, such as the gastronomical nirvanas prevalent in Spain's Tapas and Italy's Antipasto, the Lebanese Meza offers an array of small bites or plates. A wide spectrum of color and taste awaits, pleasing for both the vegetarian and meat loving palates. Amardeen's Meza will include enough for a party of two to three. Come with family and friends and pair the Meza with a glass of red or white Lebanese Wine. Take your time to savor the food and experiment with the plethora of tastes, from the lemony Tabouleh to the seven spiced flavors of the Shawarma. Only at Amardeen would you

Does anyone know what the white paste is that comes with the chicken kebab plate?
A:
Hello! That would be the Garlic Sauce, it’s an emulsion or whip of oil, garlic and lemon. Vegan and GF

I think so, not sure. Your best bet will be to call and ask the management

Been here twice and loved it both times. The food is amazing and the ambience is nice. The service is outstanding, very friendly staff.
We tried the Meza platter, so we could try a bunch of different items. So good and so much food! There were four of us and we all went home with another meal! Everything tastes fresh and is delicious.
I checked in with Yelp and got a free offer, which we used as well. A Fatayer Sampler. The was a bit small, but still delicious.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Karan S.Richardson, TX0237Feb 17, 2024
As a frequent diner who values transparency and fair pricing, I recently visited Amardeem with a group of five people. I was taken aback by the establishment's policy of imposing a mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of just five people.
While I understand the need for gratuity in the service industry, especially for larger parties where servers may exert more effort, it felt disproportionate and unjustified for such a small group. This policy seemed more like a revenue tactic rather than a reflection of the service provided.
Furthermore, this policy can inadvertently penalize diners who may have had less satisfactory experiences but are still obliged to pay the predetermined gratuity.
In summary, while the dining experience at Amardeen was enjoyable, the mandatory 20% gratuity for parties of just five people left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope the management reconsiders this policy to ensure a more equitable and customer-friendly approach to tipping.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam B.La Mesa, CA12277167Apr 23, 2024
We had a delicious spread last night. I highly recommend the mezze platter and the mixed kebab plate. That is plenty of food to be shared and also gives the opportunity to try all the delicious offerings.
Sorry I forgot to take pictures. The kebabs were perfectly cooked. All the spreads were great. Don't forget to get a bottle of Lebanese red wine. That was good wine as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 17, 2024
Good food and good for groups. We had our work luncheon here and it was nice to be able to make a reservation for 12 of us. The food overall was good. The baba ghanouj and Labneh was good. I ordered the shrimp biryani (pictured). The shrimp was cooked well; I probably shouldn't have eaten all of it. My coworker got the lamb chop entree and I had one of the chops. It was delicious. The lamb was so tender and there was enough to share with 2 people.
Another person said the Moussaka was standard and the lamb kebab was a little toughHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lina N.San Diego, CA34498Apr 23, 2024
I'm middle eastern and I would confidently say they have the best tabbouleh I have ever tasted. This restaurant feels very homey. Service was kinda average, I think the workers were a bit overworked as some of them didn't have happy faces but everyone was nice still. We ordered ofc the tabbouleh, hummus shawarma and ouzi bryani. I would get the hummus without the shawarma cause the meat hid the taste of the hummus. The Bryani was average, it felt like the rice was kinda old and the meat was kinda tough but still tasted good. I would come back to try other items.

This family run restaurant is the top spot for authentic Lebanese cuisine in San Diego. The atmosphere transports you straight to Lebanon, and you can even enjoy a cold Almaza beer imported from there. The staff are welcoming, and every dish is seasoned just right. It's also an ideal choice for catering. The mezze platter offers a bit of everything - don't miss out on the tabbouleh, hummus, kibbeh, and your preferred meats. It might sound odd, but their French fries are out of this world. And definitely leave space for dessert; the kanefe is a must-try and won't let you down.

Went here for lunch. Was seated on patio under umbrella. Had a Fattoush Salad with chicken. So tasty. The herbs set it off! Served with a thin flat bread.
Also tried a Lebanese coffee. Like an espresso but not bitter. Had a little chocolate with it, nice touch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 21, 2023
I tried Amardeen years ago and it was ok. it seems the flavor had improved, delicious food from every spectrum of the middle eastern food range.our mixed plate was savory, the kebbeh was solid if a bit less crisp than I like, fries were light and tasty, the fatayer were tasty too. Not the best I've tried but solid. Our main server seemed unhappy bordering onto unpleasant, and we were overcharged an Amardeen drink that's flavor was nice, but with too much ice. On the whole pretty expensive food, though tasty, and our visit was slightly tampered by unpleasant service.

Very delicious food, it all felt fresh and authentic, including the decor of the restaurant which seems to give us an idea of what it would feel like in Lebanon. The service was solid, and they treated us well even though we arrived about an hour or so before closing.
