    About the Business

Anton's thoughtfully reimagines old New York through comforting, eclectic American cuisine with deep European influences, alongside a robust wine list, exactingly-crafted cocktails, and genuine hospitality. Anton's design evokes the warmth and casual elegance of the quintessential NYC restaurants and bars that serve as our inspiration. The kitchen is rooted in an appreciation for exceptional homegrown ingredients, thoughtful-yet-simple preparations, and a passion for breathing new life into Old World recipes. Anton's menu spotlights local farmers through a seasonally-evolving selection of salads, vegetables, and NY-harvested shellfish. Seafood preparations and side dishes celebrate iconic recipes from a bygone era (think Porgy & Prawns a la Manhattan and Spinach a la Noialles), and Chef Nick Anderer's Italian leanings come through in a variety of house-made pastas. In addition to a 550+ bottle wine list, upwards of 20 by-the-glass selections grace the menu at all times. A parade of spirit-forward, expertly-crafted cocktails improve upon the watering holes of days gone by thanks to vibrant house-made cordials, fresh juices, and house Manhattans and Martinis with a twist (batched and served straight from the freezer to achieve just the right chill and viscosity). An edited collection of tap beers and bottled beers (ales, porters, stouts) rounds out the offerings.…

I had a really nice cocktail from their cocktail menu this December 2022. It was something with grapefruit juice in it... Does anyone know what that was? What the ingredients are?

Loved this late lunch we shared on a fleeting sunny wintery day. Service is excellent. We sat out on the covered patio.

Smoked whitefish salad w rye crisps - easily my favorite
      Popover w jam - ok
      Bucatini - tasty
Specialino spritz (cappelletti and Prosecco) - nice

Overall the experience was pleasant and the heaters kept us warm.

Tried out Anton's for brunch. Service from the host was super not friendly, making us feel uncomfortable for showing up a bit early for our reservation and offering no greeting. Weird start to the meal, but eventually they sat us. Ambiance is cute though - dark wood, big windows, large bar.

We were excited to try their famous martinis-went with an espresso martini and a classic. Had to go with a famous popover to start as well as the shared Bucatini Baczynsky, spicy but delish! Brunch entrees ranged from the classic omelette, to the roast beef sandwich to the ravioli. Everyone really enjoyed their food and were almost too stuffed to try the cheesecake for dessert. Almost!

Despite the weird host, our waiter was great, making great food recommendations and offering extra bread we could dip in the leftover sauce of our food when we were nearly done eating! Would recommend this place for some classic brunch!

Anton's was very charming with a nostalgic New York meets European cafe vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of the West Village. Even during weekend brunch hours during a really busy service, they were able to accommodate us right away as a walk-in. The staff was friendly and attentive, and at one point offered to move our table because they noticed an overhead rain leak (we were seated outdoors) even though we did not even notice it and were completely unbothered.

My friend had the pancakes and water while I got an iced coffee and a croissant. The croissant is from La Cabra and was absolutely delicious-- golden, flaky, buttery with perfect individual layers, as one would expect from La Cabra. The coffee, however, left me feeling disappointed as it was rather acidic and would have tasted burnt if it had not been watered down so much. The coffee menu was also very limited. My friend liked his pancakes, but I thought they were okay, standard fare after having a bite.

Anton's also leans pricier for the portions and the quality did not seem to justify the price, e.g. the coffee and two blueberry pancakes that they forgot to add blueberry to for us.

Came here late night for drinks and small bar bites. I liked the ambiance. For drink, I tried the Walnut Boheme and really liked it, smooth. For the bite, we tried this really nice appetizer like food, Foie gras! Worth the try

This restaurant is a classic west village dinner or brunch spot. It's versatile in that it's great for a girls brunch but also great to bring parents here for dinner. The food is great, the cocktails are great, the atmosphere is perfect but I give it 4/5 because it is more on the pricy side. It's not outrageous but it's not cheap.

I don't like leaving negative reviews but there was something wrong for sure on Saturday night for an early reservation at 5:30.
I can't understand when half the place was so empty that early they went to seat us at the smallest coldest table by the front door. After our No in unison the quickly moved us to a table opposite the bar. The noise was like being at the Super Bowl for two hours. Just deafening. I have never shouted more throughout a dinner. And then the server was just awful. He never told us there was specials which we learned after we ordered, he never brought us bread, and the funniest thing was after we paid our bill and about to stand he totally forgot and asked us if we wanted to order desert. It was like a scene out of a movie. The pastas were just ok. Not very big portions and overall I would recommend folks try any of the 1000 better restaurants in the area.

Great food great ambiance with having to deal with the hassle of getting a reservation at some of the other places in the areas. Love all the pastas and the staff is friendly.

Old school village dining spot that we ended up eating at post Thanksgiving dinner with family and as in the past it delivered solidly. We had a mix of baked clams and chicory salad to share the entrees included the seafood stew with lentils, roasted chicken, pork chop and shrimp with angel hair pasta and we left full and satisfied. Comfortable booth in the back corner and solid table service all made for a decent dinner home. Nothing "new and innovative" but they did the basics well. Recommended.

A fantastic restaurant on the west side! Been around for quite some time but I finally got to try it out on a rainy day! Went with a friend for lunch and had a great time! Had the two specials that day the wings and the shrimp & grits. Both were very delicious and the portions were good. Service is welcoming and knowledgeable!

Anton's is a gem. A cozy old country feel. Fantastic drink menu. Fresh pasta is a must- angel hair is beyond delicious. Roast beef app is a great starter with coarse salt, grated horseradish and a perfect beef temp and texture. Bring a date, wife, fam, kids!
