drive here at all costs. it is worth it i promise. the price, the injera, the spice fragrance, oh my god it was amazing. we got a glimpse of the owner after we ate and we were rightfully stuffed. i will be making the 30 min drive regularly from miami it's that good. here's a pic of our devoured meal.
get the doro wat (wet chicken). get it at all costs it's so worth it esp if u like a little spicy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 20241 check-in
This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I really loved it. We mentioned to our server that it was our first time here and he didn't really make any recommendations but I'd checked out the menu beforehand so I already knew I was going to get the Awash sampler in order to get to taste their top sellers. My husband ordered their special tibs entree which were beef cubes with onions, peppers and chiles served with some chili pepper seasoning on the side. We started with an appetizer of beef sambusas which were delicious phyllo dough filled with spicy ground beef served with a spicy red dipping sauce on the side. Both of us enjoyed our entrees and thankfully my husband shared mine with me since it was a lot of food. My favorites of the samples I had were the vegetarian dishes and I can't wait to go back to order the vegetarian sampler platter. I did like the chicken and beef samples but the flavors of the different veggies with their different spices were the most memorable. Everything is served with Injera. a delicious spongelike bread with which you eat your food with, no utensils required or expected here!
Service was good, only one server and the place did start to fill up pretty quickly on a late Saturday afternoon but we never had to wait too long for anything.
There are other things I want to try so I know for sure I'll go back there again. I highly recommend this restaurant!Helpful 19Thanks 4Love this 21Oh no 0 - 133413203Dec 17, 2023
After years of having this restaurant in my bookmarks I finally went. I had the Taste of Awash and it was a great choice, being able to sample different flavors. The injera here was tasty as I was I bit weary after having a sour tasting version at another restaurant. I also tried their mint lemonade which was refreshing, minimal sweetness.
I only hoped they had described each portion on the platter instead of me trying to figure them out on my own. The staff were prompt and polite.
I would definitely eat here again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 26137232Apr 21, 2024
Looked up vegetarian friendly restaurants and this restaurant popped up to not disappoint us. We ordered the vegetarian combo for the 3 of us and ordered extra injeera. The service was also quick.

Having experienced Ethiopian cuisine during a trip to Washington D.C.., I was pleasantly surprised that there was a restaurant in our area. The waitress was top-notch and very helpful. We had the Taste Of Awash and it was a combination of different dishes. Extremely tasty. The Ethiopian coffee was delicious. The restaurant was nicely decorated and they had big-screen TVs playing Ethiopian channels. I cannot wait to go back!

This places is unique and have a charming ethnic decor.
I have come a few times in the past and enjoyed the food and learning about Ethiopia while ordering my meal.
The coffee ceremony is adorable and when is fresh toasted, brewed and served taste delicious surrounded with the incense.
The Taste of Awash is the one to try (9 different flavors with injera their local bread)
My experience to to go basic by eating with my hands was also pleasant to enjoy smells, taste and texture.
Other 2 appetizer worth the try is Lentil Sambusa and Meat Sambusa delicious and fulfilling.
Is a family owned restaurant and your will find homemade food attentive served by the family and all participating of the diferente roles.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Antoinette S.Delray Beach, FL5692324Mar 18, 2024
Very nice experience! We wanted to try something totally different and their food is, in a great way! Their staff are very polite and kind. It has a very intimate, family type of vibe to it. Like everyone is welcomed and I like that! You eat with your hands, so make sure to wash them.

Hands down the best Ethiopian restaurant, the food is amazing, the customer service is perfect and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant brings you back to Addis Ababa. My favorite place to eat!

Service is good. We have tried the food and it's not bad, pretty enough to be not hungry. The fresh juice from papaya didn't satisfied me(
