Freundlich + Kompetent

Somehow made it to this bar after meeting some Germans and a visiting American at Goldfisch in Sternschanze. It's in kind of a boring neighborhood, but the bar is really cool. The ceilings are vaulted brick which gives it a fun churchy-bar atmosphere. The DJ played everyone's favorite hip hop and R&B hits from the 90s-00s, and everyone was really getting into it. There's no coat check but there are tons of pegs on the wall where everyone's coats were lined up like at school. Above the coat rack is a narrow shelf to set your drink when you're finished. There's an upstairs area with seating and foosball and (surprisingly) clean bathrooms. I didn't pay for my drinks (hooray for boobies!) but I don't think a typical long drink would exceed 9 euros. Tons of fun, lots of people dancing, only thing I didn't like was the downstairs floor has a weird 2 inch drop once you step away from the bar. Precarious if you're carrying shots.
